Canada announced that it would finance a $500 million package of United States military equipment and ammunition for Ukraine through NATO's Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte welcomed the contribution and said the equipment would help Ukraine meet urgent defence needs. The package was expected to draw from United States stockpiles.

Canada joined the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Norway and Sweden in financing packages under the initiative. NATO designed the system to organize regular deliveries based on operational priorities identified by Ukraine.
