Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak completed a three year term as Director General of NATO's International Military Staff.
NATO said Adamczak led the staff during changes to the Alliance's defence plans, increased support for Ukraine and closer coordination among military bodies. Military Committee Chair Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone thanked him during a ceremony at NATO Headquarters.
The International Military Staff supports the Military Committee and connects NATO's political decisions with military planning. Lithuanian Lieutenant General Remigijus Baltrenas succeeded Adamczak.
