NATO's Critical Undersea Infrastructure Network met on 26 and 27 May with civilian and military authorities, industry representatives and experts. The talks focused on cables and pipelines that support communications and energy supplies.
Participants discussed information sharing, preparedness and new monitoring technology. NATO had launched Baltic Sentry after damage to undersea infrastructure in the Baltic Sea in December 2024, increasing its presence and ability to respond to possible threats.
