Experts from Ukraine and eight NATO members met in Warsaw on 2 and 3 July to discuss food security and stronger farming systems during war and other emergencies.

More than 30 participants examined food and water planning, infrastructure protection and cooperation between government and private companies. Ukrainian experts also shared experience from clearing mines so damaged farmland could return to use.

NATO said lessons from Ukraine would inform future plans for protecting food systems from attacks, transport problems and other major disruptions.
