The North Atlantic Council approved NATO's common funding plan for 2026 through 2030 and set a total of €5.3 billion for 2026.
The amount covers NATO's military and civil budgets and the NATO Security Investment Programme. Common funding pays for shared command systems, infrastructure, operations and military capabilities that serve the Alliance as a whole.
The plan also includes resources for NATO programmes supporting Ukraine, including the support and training command and the joint analysis, training and education centre in Poland.
