NATO defence ministers agreed new capability targets covering the forces and equipment Allies need for collective defence. The targets were intended to guide national investment and support NATO's regional defence plans.
Secretary General Mark Rutte said the targets supported a proposed investment plan of 5 percent of GDP, divided between core defence spending and wider security-related investment. Ministers also met Ukraine's defence minister and reviewed nuclear deterrence.
