NATO held its first Southern Neighbourhood Security Dialogue at Joint Force Command Naples. Around 90 participants from Allied and partner countries and regional organisations discussed security developments and areas for practical cooperation.
The meeting followed the Southern Neighbourhood Action Plan agreed at the 2024 Washington Summit. Priority subjects included counter-terrorism, cyber defence, maritime security, information threats, science, mine action and the effects of climate change on security.
