NATO approved the public version of a framework intended to improve the accuracy, completeness and reliability of data used across the Alliance.
The framework provides common measures for accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, timeliness, validity and level of detail. It also covers automated checks, the tracking of data sources and the management of information about data.
NATO said better data was needed for daily operations, senior decisions, artificial intelligence and military activities across several areas. The framework supports earlier NATO plans for data sharing and digital transformation.
