Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chair of the NATO Military Committee, visited Ankara on 16 and 17 June at the invitation of Turkish Chief of General Staff General Metin Gurak. Their talks covered preparations for the NATO Summit in The Hague and the need for higher defence investment.
Cavo Dragone thanked Turkiye for its participation in NATO missions and exercises and noted the country's investment in its defence industry. He also met representatives of the Turkish defence sector and attended a wreath laying ceremony at Anitkabir.
