NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte met United States President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss a plan for faster military deliveries to Ukraine.

Under the proposal, European NATO members and Canada would finance equipment from the United States while NATO coordinated delivery. Planned packages included air defence systems, missiles and ammunition.

Rutte said Germany, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Canada had shown interest. He also met United States defence and foreign policy officials and members of Congress during the visit.
