Steen Sondergaard Begins Term as NATO Chief Scientist

Steen Sondergaard began a three year term as NATO Chief Scientist after being appointed by the North Atlantic Council.

NATO said he brought more than 30 years of experience to the role. He will advise senior leaders on science and technology used in defence planning and policy.

As chair of the NATO Science and Technology Board, Sondergaard will oversee research priorities and efforts to apply scientific results across the Alliance.
