The United Arab Emirates hosted the eighth EU-UAE Structural Dialogue on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting continued a structured channel for cooperation on financial integrity, illicit finance and measures to prevent terrorist financing. Both sides used the dialogue to exchange information on policy developments and technical priorities.

For the EU, cooperation with the UAE in this area is linked to wider efforts to strengthen international standards and reduce the risks created by cross-border financial crime. The dialogue also reflects the importance of Gulf partners in global financial networks.

The meeting confirmed that anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing remain core areas of EU-UAE engagement, with both sides expected to continue technical and policy-level exchanges.
