The European Union expressed solidarity with people affected by earthquakes in Guatemala and conveyed support to communities facing damage and disruption.
The EU Delegation said it was following developments and stood with national authorities and the population as the consequences of the seismic activity were assessed.
The statement formed part of the EU's wider diplomatic and humanitarian engagement with Guatemala and Central America.
