The European Union told the UN General Assembly that global health and foreign policy have become increasingly interconnected, with health security now firmly established on the international diplomatic agenda.
The EU said multilateral cooperation has delivered results and remains necessary for responding to cross-border health threats, strengthening health systems and improving preparedness for future emergencies.
Brussels called for continued international cooperation and linked stronger health governance to resilience, sustainable development and global security.
