The EU warned that recent Kosovo police operations, inspections and closures of public services risk increasing tensions and negatively affecting local communities.
In a statement by the spokesperson, the EU said the actions could undermine Kosovo’s international standing and worsen daily conditions for people affected by the closures. Brussels framed the issue as both a community-level concern and a political risk.
The EU has repeatedly called for de-escalation in Kosovo and for steps that protect all communities while preserving conditions for dialogue. The latest statement continued that approach, urging authorities to avoid actions that could fuel mistrust.
The message placed the developments within the wider EU-facilitated process between Kosovo and Serbia, where stability on the ground remains essential for political progress.
