Secretary General Mark Rutte said Allied defence ministers would focus on building a stronger Europe within a stronger NATO through higher investment, more forces and a stronger industrial base.

He highlighted the sharp rise in European and Canadian defence spending and said the ministerial would help prepare key decisions for the Ankara Summit.
